Obviously, this is a very romanticized story of hardcore Biker life, but, you know that going in so I'm not going there (unlike some reviewers that wanted more "realistic details"...... while others claimed that "writing this can give people the wrong impression of how gangs operate"......) COME ON! REALLY?? This is a ROMANCE novel, and I know for a fact, there ARE motorcycle clubs where, like with car-clubs, the members really, truly just enjoy riding and socializing, after their 9 to 5 job and doing chores around the house because, ccasionally, riding a motorcycle is more fun with likeminded people than always doing it alone.
On the flip side, if you still haven't figured out that actual bikergangs are usually ruthless, criminals, you're you're probaly just as liable to fall for a cult or a conman as join a biker gang:-)
SO, for the review?
The story is well written, with strong individuals as character, maybe a little on the rushed side, but a very good read, with a little bit of spice, some tension, mystery and action and a couple of hours of relaxation.
Even though the book is part of a series, there is no reason to read the books in order. They refer to other stories, but in a way that does not require to KNOW that story to see where it sits in this one. A true stand alone, that's just a little bit interconnected with the rest of the series. Another good story by this author.
